ClassicPress quickly becoming obsolete? Let's fix that!

I think the only way to “fix” ClassicPress and keep it relevant, is to move away from WordPress which would introduce breaking changes and make ClassicPress its own CMS.

Does anyone want to work on ClassicPress v2 (with breaking changes)?

It seems that in the CP community there are people who want to see CP v2 happen already. Read this. Work can be done in parallel. Some people can work on CP v1.x and other people can work on CP v2.x. Both versions will be able to benefit from each other. The ideal thing to make stuff happen would be to make a list of people interested in putting time into CP v2 and set a realistic step by step plan / roadmap.
