I just logged into a site running CP 1 and in the WP/CP dashboard I saw this error code:
Error: cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received
What does this mean and is it something to be concerned with?

It’s nothing to be worried about. Your install was trying to make a data retrieve from a remote server. Did you notice this in the dashboard widgets? Which one in particular?
