While Hello Dolly showed how easy it was to get a contrived plugin working, it was certainly nothing to learn from or model after.

I just whipped one up with all of Chewy’s quotes… “hrarahaaaarrra ahahrahwarrhwwhar!”

Why you want to exclude the most useful, the most usable WordPress feature? A fork without Hello, Dolly, or, better, Highway to Hell is incomplete and wouldn’t be successful.
