Filtering spam by just words and phrases is difficult and can easily lead to false positives.
Additionally, it would be helpful if the admin(s) had the choice between putting the recognized spam comments to trash or to the spam folder in order to check on them here and there so that legitimate comments that matched the blacklist rules can still be brought back.
