An issue with editing footer

hello.
when I try to edit the footer, I get an errorr that this link had expired after pressing save.
I’m using php 8.2 if that matters.

Which footer are you trying to edit? Or, to put this another way, the footer of what?

the website, using the widgets thing.

It sounds like it’s an issue with your hosting. Please take a look at this article and see if it helps you resolve the issue: How To Fix “The Link You Followed Has Expired” WordPress Error (though I’d recommend adding code to the functions.php file only if you’re using a child theme or a theme that you created (and named) yourself).

Just in case those steps don’t work, which theme are you using?

using the default one.

Which default one? There are several. Or are you using the nightly build of ClassicPress? If you’re using the nightly build, please first ensure you’re on the latest version.

Which things did you try from the suggestions on the article?

Short answers don’t help me help you. The more information your provide, the more likely I am to be able to help you solve your problem.

like, the one that is used by default, twenty seventeen

  • I wouldn’t run nightly on prod.
    that would be the same as asking someone to kick me in the gut.

I don’t know what you might do. I have never met you. Some people do run nightly on production sites. It rarely pays to make assumptions.
