Breakdance does not work with CP and is paid. Not worth the risk since we do have Beaver Builder publicly supporting CP.
FX Builder was developed for CP by forking a plugin for WP and I have it on some of my sites because it’s just GREAT.
Thing to note BB and FX are not compatible with one another but that is not a problem since one of the two is usually enough to develop a site.

I forgot to mention, I was one of the early testers for breakdance in their closed beta to provide feedback before launch. I did try it on CP V1 and WP. I was not so impressed and it did not work in CP. It might work on V2 but I highly doubt it and I would not advise to spend the money to discover it.

Thank you for responding, Elisabetta. Good to know. If someone wants to use ClassicPress and a page builder, how should they decide whether Beaver Builder or FX Builder would be better for them?

Aside from the fact that I am writing an article about this on my site, in short: beaver is more geared towards agencies who might develop their own components and design systems and save them in BB as templates (pro version allows for that).
FX is a builder that allows to set rows and columns where you can then use classic editor to put content in and enhances classic editor with some things like font voice, size etc and is more suitable for people who manage their own site and that have designs that are less intricate than what BB allows. This doesn’t mean that FX doesn’t allow for intricate designs, it’s just that it has less things to set up and that means a smaller learning curve.

Thank you. That helps. Once your article is written perhaps you can share it with us here?

I certainly will.

You can add me PJBrunet.com and/or SRVpress.com to the list. I have been hosting WordPress since 2004 and so far the ClassicPress concept really appeals to me. In my view, WordPress is a mature product and so are the users, it doesn’t need drastic changes.

I’ve been a web developer since 1994, started using PHP around 2002. I do all the backend WordPress system admin myself, typically on Arch Linux – previously used Debian & CentOS. I install and configure MariaDB myself and don’t use any pre-configured containers.

Over the years, much of my WordPress work was CSS related, moving things around for clients on the frontend. Lately seems like I’m more involved in hosting & debugging backend problems. Back in the early days I made a few plugins. If there’s a lot of demand, I can imagine getting more involved here, not sure yet.
