Installed Cookie banner plugin for WordPress – Cookiebot CMP by Usercentrics – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org and it works like a charm. Even with the free version. This is an external scripted service and you must add HTML code to header and another location (footer in my case) so it takes some work, but 100% great on ClassicPress.
the only bug I found was the “save” button at top of the page for settings was off with the line height. But that could be because WP uses a different CSS line height than CP or maybe their plugin sets its own line height. I can live with this.
I used if for California customers, since CA is about the only state to require the consent. Try it out.
