There’s a section that refers to a utility plugin…

The code in this tutorial should be placed into a utility plugin. If your site already has a utility plugin, great, you can just add the code below to that plugin. If you don’t yet have such a plugin, go build one. I’ll wait for you here.

The link didn’t make it through, but, the tutorial for that can be found at A Custom Utility Plugin for your ClassicPress Site.

It seems the link no longer works and I am struggling to wrap my head around the creation of a utility plugin. Any more tutorials available on how to create on for classic press. Found a few for wordpress but it seems every time I try to use something related to wordpress it won’t work with classic press. Thanks for the brief tutorial by the way!

I’m not sure what tutorials for WP that you’ve tried that don’t work in CP. If it’s not blocks-related, it should still work.

For example, here’s a tutorial on a utility plugin: The WordPress Community Needs More Utility Plugins | Tanner Record It’s the same process in CP.

One thing to add: if you want to make sure the plugin can’t be deactivated, put it in the mu-plugins folder instead of the plugins folder.
