There’s an error in the current version of Installatron. If you install ClassicPress using Installatron after the installation you cannot login, nor reset the password nor change the password in the database (for example with PHPMyAdmin).
We reported the bug to Installatron, since we were able to repeat it on another server and noticed the problem wasn’t showing up on servers using the Softaculous Installer.
Within a few hours Installatron released a fix. When you’re having this issue, ask your webhost to do a forced update for Installatron.
After the forced update the host will see:
Updating Application Packages… - classicpress… updated
If a forced update is no option the bug will be fixed in the next regular update of installatron, unless for some reason the web host doesn’t allow automatic updates. The issue shouldn’t be a problem for long but if it does persist, urge your host to run a forced update.
