Just made the switch to ClassicPress from Wordpress. And noticing there’s no way to me to create “excerpts”. Not sure if it’s theme specific issue or a missing feature in ClassicPress…? Previously there was a textarea where I can insert copy for an excerpt that appears with the post on the homepage. I can’t find that ui any longer. And the “more” feature in the editor doesn’t seem to work for me. Wondering if there’s workaround? All of my old posts that have excerpts are showing as they should but now there’s no way to edit them either. Thanks in advance.
Hi there. ClassicPress definitely supports excerpts.
In the post editor, can you try enabling Excerpts in the Screen Options tab (I think that is the name). It may not be checked by default.

I’ve also been missing the excerpt text field, but it wasn’t important to me right then, so I forgot all about it. Now I had a look in the screen options, but it isn´t there.
Using CP 2.2 btw.
Edit: I have to correct myself. The excerpt IS in the screen options, I hade a Page open in the editor, and not a Post. Excerpts have never been a Page feature, as I remember.
Sorry for the confusion!

The Excerpts field is below the main copy field and not in the sidebar. Maybe that’s why you did not spot it right away?
