Should I keep it or do I have to upgrade to the latest version?
Keep in mind that my website is a portfolio one and I don’t update its content anymore because I have no intention to offer my new artworks to the AI bots and I don’t sell on my website. So I’ll be very happy is I don’t have to upgrade it.
If it’s working well for you without errors or warnings, then there’s no particular reason to move to version 2+ unless we’ve added a feature you’d like to use. The main issue you need to be aware of by not moving is that we aren’t developing version 1 any more. In other words, if a problem does occur, we won’t intercept it before it gets to you.

My website is ten years old under this domain name and prior to this it was on an subdomain for another 4 years. Up to 2019 in Wordpress and from 2019 on ClassicPress. So what you see is the upgrade of the upgrade of the upgrade from 2012 onward with a lot of custom things and that is the reason why I’m hesitant to upgrade it once more. If something goes wrong I’ll have to start fixing things again. So I prefer to leave it as it is and if I ever need something more I’ll remake it with a clean installation.
