I’m currently testing if we could run our little radio programme website on ClassicPress. Otherwise seems to work, but the form! Ouch. Contact Form 7 refuses to run, and Private Captcha crashes the whole site.
So what should we try instead?
The thing is, in the near future we’re planning to set up another form for bands to announce their gigs. Way more sophisticated than the current simple contact form. Fields for dates, times, ticket prices, age limits, locations, website links, descriptions etc… And the inbound data should be saved into a CSV file for processing later.
All this can be done with CF7 + some additional plugins. What alternatives are there? Preferably free ones. (Or at least cheap ones.)
And then there’s the captcha issue. Whatever is slapped on the forms to handle spam, it should a) actually work, b) not be annoying, and c) be EU GDPR compatible. Private Captcha can handle all this, but it crumbles under ClassicPress.
