No question about it, ClassicPress is way faster. I’ve been in two minds about this for a while, primarily because I would have to switch around some plugins and themes, but there’s a very obvious performance boost when I use ClassicPress (I compared ClassicPress 1.5.0 with Wordpress 6.1.1. All other factors being equal (development server, plugins, functions.php etc) ClassicPress seems to load pages in around 3/4th the time taken for a WP install for the same DB.
That’s excellent news. Great to see more proof. It was tested a few years ago, so it’s good to get more proof. I should slap this on the main website for all the naysayers to see
