Hi! I’m planning to move my blog from WP to ClassicPress. A major roadblock is Polylang plugin, which became incompatible a couple weeks ago.
Is there any alternative, native to CP or compatible from WP, that I could replace Polylang with?

Well, I use Bogo. Maybe I should fork it again, it supposedly isnt compatible anymore, despite not using anything “new”. But its only a rudimentary replacement.
A bit of a hardcore solution might be using a Multisite installation, eg. with Multisite Language Switcher. Albeit at first it might seem like a bit of a disadvantage, but being able to easily allow for child themes specifically per language = site, and then, having any custom plugin adhere the same logic, feels actually like a bigger advantage, despite the initial overhead, and the clunky multisite UI.
cu, w0lf.
Oh, I wasn’t aware of Bogo. It looks awesome! And easier on the server than Polylang — which is very lightweight itself.
a fork would be welcomed. CP needs a multi language solution.

Hi,
this could also be good alternative GitHub - qtranslate/qtranslate-xt: qTranslate-XT (eXTended) - reviving qTranslate-X multilingual plugin for WordPress. A new community-driven plugin soon. Built-in modules for WooCommerce, ACF, slugs and others. · GitHub
Yesterday we moved my blog to ClassicPress. Turns out Bogo, at least in its latest version, isn’t compatible with ClassicPress
We forced a bypass (changing WP minimum version to 6.2) and it’s working fine, as far as I can see.
qtranslate is a menace to maintain, so I have given up on it a few years (almost a decade by now) ago.
But yes, its an option, too.
Maybe fork Bogo…? ![]()
Have you tried Falang?
Will be doing that.
Plus a bunch of other plugins, starting with WP Super Cache.
