This might be on your to-do list. If not, consider it a feature request. When sharing plugin page URL in the forums it doesn’t generate a preview because open graph description and image are missing. Open graph tags are also important for social media sharing. So it’s a good idea to add some.
You’re already including meta description, so og:description can be easily added. For the og:image tag I would at least recommend adding a default image with CP logo until image support is added later down the road. Could use something like this to generate a default image.
