Possible Alternatives to Slack

Discussion regarding possible alternatives to Slack.

Possible options so far include RocketChat and Zuilp.

Note: We can keep these options in mind for the future, as currently there is no timeframe or plan set on a transition. For now, we don’t have the time and resources to migrate to another platform.

The nice thing with RocketChat is that we can include a SlackBridge:

SlackBridge allows you to mirror the messages received in a Slack channel or private group into Rocket.Chat in real-time.

Rocketchat it’s also extendable and provides webhooks for integrations.

Looks like out of the box it supports OAuth for almost every provider, so that is a huge plus for us.

Plus, we can use their SlackBridge to support the move over.
