Question on the new release just out

Can I update from the backend without worrying about plugin conflicts or is this going to be a long process to get my 2.4.1 version setup to work with 2.5? The reason I am asking is because I currently don’t have the time to troubleshoot any issues and if I go a head and try it and it don’t work I am locked in. Just thought I’d see if it would upgrade with the current plugins/themes installed as I remember reading somewhere about possible plugin/theme conflicts with the deprecated and removed previous library etc.

And by the way awesome work to get out a new version!

I was on 2.4.1 too - no issue at all upgrading on a complex site

Thanks ElisabettaCarrara, I’ll give it a go on a newer install where I haven’t modified the classic press theme.

Generally speaking you should not expect troubles updating a minor version. ClassicPress follows SemVer, so an upgrade in 2.x version should not introduce breaking changes.
