I am currently selling a bunch of WordPress plugins. Maybe, in the future, I will be selling ClassicPress plugins, as well.
My plugins are premium, and I use Easy Digital Downloads to sell them. I push new releases manually, and my plugins are checking a custom server for updates. This is all good, but it’s too much work sometimes.
My update code works with both WP and CP, and I am working on a plugin called Rocket Server, which will allow plugin developers to maintain releases, push updates and view analytics from their own WP/CP Dashboard.
This is not about selling plugins, this should be achieved by other means, such as Easy Digital Downloads, Paid Memberships Pro, even WooCommerce. This is about hosting the plugin archives, maintaining releases and pushing new versions which will automatically be picked up by my plugins.
