Switching to new hosting

Dear,
I moved one of my pages to a new hosting (free)
And then every now and then a message appears in the admin interface as shown in the picture.
And until I click that I am not a robot, any editing on that page is blocked
Is it because of ClassicPress or is it something else

Very nice

My best bet is a security plugin that you need to adjust settings?

If you could share more about your setup I think we could be more helpful… Also an uncropped screenshot would be ideal in that case.
Another thing you can do is accessing inspect tool to see what is going on on page.

This is something your hosting is doing on the page I guess… it triggers the check on the IP and the captcha.

And does an unpleasant thing by exposing who your hosting is in public.

A place to look for is in the hosting admin panel if there are some security features enabled that could trigger this, since I see you don’t have plugins that are messing with IPs (I have scanned the Source panel in inspect tool for the link of the page, so it’s clear it’s not a plugin doing that IMHO).

Checking their home page they make VERY clear that on free option they apply measures to keep things secure and maintain their servers free of malwares and the like, so I guess it’s an aggressive server configuration on their part…

Edited to add:

BTW I can totally understand the preference for free hosting for certain sites. For my staging sites and sites that need a free plan I use Netsons, that has a free webapp for llifetime with CPanel allowing for CP one click install.
This hosting is also scalable, if you grow your site you can transition to one of their paid plans.

I’m just starting the site because free hosting
When I attract a sufficient number of visitors, it is not a problem to go for paid hosting
I have in mind this hosting of yours
But only 1 gb of storage in free hosting?
I have to have a registered domain with them
And I already have a registered domain on Namecheap
Thanks for the information

Edit:
When trying to register on Netsons
No way to wait for the control code
And I have no intention of calling them

I can totally get the fact that a new site can be hosted on free plans while growing up. I usually tend to do the same.

And yes, one of the security features enabled for your hosting (spam assassin or login keys) could totally consider your IP a spammer and flag you till you click the re-captcha.

I guess this free hosting has such aggressive protection means because they want to ensure people do not misuse their servers for bad things.(and this is good in a way).

One thing to note, every hosting (free or paid) protects their servers in some ways, some hosting providers are good to protect the servers without getting in your way like this one does, and some other use even more restrictive means.

Uh this free server doesn’t even allow me to register new members,
Does not allow SMTP client, I will have to look for another server.

I went to register on this your Netsons
And then I can’t get the control code on my cell phone, why?

I am trying to register a new account for my company as well and encountered same issue. It depends on Netsons itself. What you need to do is get in touch with their support, they are very helpful and competent. They are going to help you verify the phone number.

EDITED TO ADD: I solved the issue by supplying a different mobile phone number. You can do this by going back to the previous step and filling in the registration form again.

I sent an email
Only 1GB of storage is enough?
Thanks

1GB of storage for a small site is enough.
Consider that when you reach that limit you will have scaled to paid service already, with that kind of site.

(Yes, I like videogames )

@JerryNidzo,

Your best course of action is to contact your host directly and ask them if there is a configuration setting/option that would pop the “Are you a robot?” dialogue. If there isn’t, try disabling your security plugin for a few minutes and see if the error goes away. I’m 99% sure it’s a server configuration or a security plugin.

Host-jumping is not the answer.

Hi @JerryNidzo,
We can totally help you with this! Free hosting is well free hosting - so you are going to run into problems with that. And who knows if they will be around for how long…

We have a mini-hosting plan that is very cost effective, for starting out, and includes 2 GB disk space, free SSL with Let’s Encrypt etc. Has lots of solid resources as well - so sites run fast (see at bottom of page). Additionally it is in Canadian Dollars, so about 25% to 30% cheaper than the US dollar:

https://web242.com/hosting/mini-canada/

(Also available on our US server)

Let me know if that interests you, and reach out if you have any questions.

Cheers
Avrom

Just one comment about storage space. I would agree that 1GB is generally enough for most purposes (although 2GB is twice as good  ). However, don’t forget that your storage allocation covers your website and your email.

I have one client whose website takes up just a few hundred KB but their email takes up 35GB.

So it’s something to be aware of.

That I wasn’t considering. Netsons free plan (free webapp) I don’t even know if it has email enabled in CPanel dashboard because I never use emails supplied by hosting providers anyway for the kind of sites I host there. But it’s a detail I should consider. Thanks!

A free hosting is not that negotiable… I think the best course of action is Netsons if he really needs a free plan or the @Web242 proposal to host on their plans (that would be better if he plans to grow fast, I think).

I’m not suggesting negotiating anything. I said to ask a question. Starting with new hosting should be a last-ditch effort as it’s probably completely unnecessary.

My guess is this is appearing because you are on a free hosting plan. I say that because your site is loading a lot of resources directly from freehosting.com.

I would stay away from free hosting.

This mini plan of yours costs $ 99.00 per year
Isn’t that a little too much to get started
There are also better offers reciomo namecheap for 3 sites much less money
First year $ 1.58 which is less than this mini plan per month.
In a year it can be seen whether this page of mine can have a future or not.
I’ll wait a few days for the Netsons to respond and then we’ll see what happens next

Who says I have to have an email address on the server
I can also have a gmail address to start with.
My visitors are not doctors of science but they are mostly kids who love video games
Children will only perhaps have communication via Live Chat.
I am on this page where I am not allowed an SMTP client, I inserted the google contact form first hand, which is quite enough for a page like this

I think I found a problem that makes me jump reCaptcha
I think the cause is the WPBruiser plugin
