Was wondering if I am ok to go a head and install the current version of ClassicPress 2.2.0 on my wamp64 server to use as a testing site for a fork of a wp plugin I want to try? Read that a newer version is in the works and was curious if it is going to be sooner rather than later? Thanks for your time.
ClassicPress 2.3.0 is very near to release but migrating from 2.2.0 to 2.3.0 should be very simple and straightforward, so don’t let that hold you up.

Just as a quick update on this, we ran into a few glitches in core so pushed back the planned release of v2.3.0 to Thursday 5th December.
