When I click on my plugin security settings, it also expands the tools menu on the left.
As you can see there are two menu selected and expanded…
Could it be something wrong in my plugin?

I also see a Cpvars under tools. Does that link lead to the same place? Could that be the problem.
No, the link lead to the configuration part not relative to security…

… but the menus have the same slug.
Changing the slug in the options (can’t change slug for security options that MUST match plugin slug) solved.
The codex was not so clear to me:
$menu_slug
(string) (Required) The slug name to refer to this menu by. Should be unique for this menu and…

Edit:
@invisnet maybe in the documentation of the add_security_page would be nice to have a note about remembering to check and rename the original slug that was used in add_submenu_page.
