Why close threads so soon?

Hi moderators,

I’m wondering why threads are closed so soon? I saw my threads being closed just a couple of days after the last reply. That’s way to soon IMO.

I saw that users with more permissions can reply later, but besides liking the reply I’m not able to reply to that anymore.

Please close threads after, let’s say, a month?

If I’m not wrong support threads closes after two days when “Solution” is checked.
Other threads will close in a month after the last post.

Hi,

Yes, this “closed after a month” is being displayed underneath certain threads. But underneath other threads I read this:
This topic was automatically closed 2 days after the last reply. New replies are no longer allowed.

And certain older threads are still open, without recent activity.
I’ve read the forum is being updated, hopefully they take care of this as well.
