Continuing the discussion from Updating Categories and sub-categories:
Just clicking “Publish to Discourse” in the post on CP should be enough to add comments to the post.

Re-vetting, we set minimums in the plugin about what we will allow, what have set currently seems to work well.
Does this mean we need to keep a specific category on the forum for this integration to work?
No, we can choose where we want them to go. For example the announcement makes sense in the announcements category
