Language Dropdown is missing in Settings -> General

I had to re-install ClassicPress on my localhost running MAMP PRO. After completing the setup, I noticed that the Site Language dropdown is missing in Settings → General. I ran into this issue installing the latest 1.7 version as well as the lasted nightly release of version 2.0.

As mentioned in the enclosed topic below, I added define( 'FS_METHOD', 'direct' ); to the wp-config.php file, but that did not solve the problem unfortunately.

Any suggestions?

Missing languages in general settings

I just installed ClassicPress on a (virtual) server but only have one language choice (English US) in Admin / Settings / General Settings > Site Language. How can I get more options? (preferably Dutch / Nederlands) [cp-site-language] Possibility It might be related tot the server settings, but in that case it would be good to know that this can’t be related to ClassicPress. This might be related to API issue we recently had during an upgrade. We’re looking into it right now and will let you know once it’s fixed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

YES!
I now have the Site Language dropdown with 12 available languages.
