Plugin directory kickoff; call for test plugins

We’ve had a lot of discussion over the past few months, now it’s time to start work on the plugin directory and on v2 of ClassicPress!

One of the first things we’ll need is a set of plugins to test using the initial directory. We’ll use these to develop and refine a prototype of the plugin directory. Regular users won’t see this effort until we’re ready to do an alpha release, but this is still a great way for plugin developers to help us out behind the scenes!

To start, I’ve pulled the list of plugins from the Plugins built specifically for ClassicPress thread.

If you’re pinged in this list, please respond below and let us know whether you’re OK with your plugin being listed in an initial prototype of our directory!

If you’re not in this list, but you have a plugin you’d like us to consider including, that’s OK too! Requirements are, briefly:

  • The plugin is hosted on GitHub with the code available
  • The plugin is licensed under GPL (v2 or v3+ at your choosing)
  • There is at least one published release using the GitHub releases mechanism.

If you’re not sure whether your plugin(s) meet these requirements, don’t worry, one of the goals of this exercise is to test our error handling implementation, so we’ll sort it out

Dropping in a few of mine, too:
